Mayabunder, Dec 21: A resident of Mayabunder, Mr Ravi, an expert in swimming today saved a person from drowning into the sea at Karmatang Beach.
According to reports, nearly 300 people from different parts of North & Middle Andaman came for a picnic to enjoy the Sunday at Karmatang Beach.
The beach was crowded and many people were swimming. Suddenly at 15.30 hrs Ravi noticed one person struggling hard, too deep into sea and crying for help.
Immediately Mr Ravi reached to the person and saved him from drowning. On information the Deputy Superintendent of Police himself reached the spot with a team.
