Diglipur, Dec 05: In a shocking incident a person killed his son in Diglipur, when he found some quantity of Ganja is missing from his house.
According to reports available with Andaman Sheekha Shyamal Sikdar, aged nearly 50 years, an auto driver by profession killed his 20 year old son out of anger, when he found that some quantity of Ganja is missing from his house.
According to sources on 25th November the father strangled his son, Subho Sikdar, to death. After murder he remained calm and acted as if his son, who is mentally challenged, has gone missing and requested villagers to look for his son. However he didn’t lodge missing report in nearby Police Station.
On 27th November villagers located the body of Shubho Sikdar and soon a case of Unnatural Death was lodged in nearby Police Station later according to villagers, after Post Mortem it was learnt that the boy was actually killed, following which a Murder Case was lodged in PS Diglipur.
The Police Team of PS Diglipur, under the leadership of SHO Stalin and supervision of the Dy.S.P North Andaman, Mr. Chander Kumar and SP North and Middle Andaman, Mr. Santosh Kumar Meena worked out the case very actively and zeroed the father of the accused.
According to villagers the accused was also involved in Ganja selling and people used to go to his house for purchasing Ganja. It is believed that when he found shortage in his Ganja Stock he suspected that his son has taken the Ganja and took this extreme step.
Meanwhile, the official version of Police is yet to receive. When contacted Dy.S.P North Andaman, Mr. Chander Kumar refused to comment in this matter and said that the case is presently under investigation.
