Port Blair, Nov 13: The Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council, Mr M Arumugam accompanied by Mr J. Rajendran, Mr Muthu Raman, Councillors and senior officials visited Ward No. 17 on Thursday to inspect ongoing development projects. Construction of a motorable road at ward no. 17 was launched in the presence of the team. Mr Arumugam instructed the officials of the Council to expedite the construction work of the road leading from GL Church, Nayagaon and complete it in a time-bound manner for the benefits of the commuters.
The PBMC Chairperson also directed the EE (Works) of the Council to accelerate other ongoing developmental works. The EE was further directed to carry out the maintenance works of footpath, drains, retaining walls, re-surfacing of roads etc.
