Port Blair, Sept 29: A Police Barricade, placed in a dark area of Prothrapur Junction, today caused a road accident.
According to reports, the accident occurred when a car driver suddenly found Police Barricade infront of him and out of panic he drove the car inside road side shops.
As per the reports, the car was coming down from Pathargudda and was heading towards Birchgunj and while taking left at Prothrapur Junction the driver suddenly noticed the barricade kept just 20 foots away from the turning at a dark stretch.
Luckily no one got injured in this accident but one shop suffered heavy damages. The driver and the owner of the shop were then taken to the Pahargaon police station.
