Port Blair, Sept 16: The Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat in collaboration with Bhagat Singh Memorial Youth Club, Rangat celebrated Hindi Diwas on 14/09/2014 at Zilla Parisad Auditorium, Rangat in which 80 persons participated to witness the programme from adjoining area of Rangat. On the occasion Shri A.K. Trivedi, Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman was the chief guest and he inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp alongwith with his wife Smti. Prem Lata Trivedi, Zilla Parisad member Smti Panchavarnam, Block Samiti member Smti Prawati Biswas and Gram Panchayat Pradhan Shri Adhir Matudhar. Welcoming the chief guest and the gathering Shri Alphonce Toppo, District Youth Coordinator, Rangat requested all to cooperate in this programme for all success. Shri Deepak Ram, Teacher presented short speech on the Hindi Policy of the government. The chief guest in his address highlighted the position of Hindi in our society and said that Hindi is speaking in every parts of India and it links to each other. But every thinking remains in Hindi. He also expressed his concern that youth of this area neither know good Hindi nor good English. He is of the opinion that youth should be awaked in the Hindi language and they should use the language in daily life. He also appreciated the effort of NYK, Rangat and Bhagat Singh Youth Club, Rangat in organizing the day.
Just after the speech the Hindi Kavi Sammelan was organized in which Smti. Paramjit Kaur, HM, Smti R. Indira Devi, Shri KK Choudhary, Shri S.P. Mishra, Deepak Ram and Suman Kr. Halder of education department, Shri Unmukth Nagar from STS department, Shri C.K. Paul, Retd, teacher, Shri Raja Ram Bersey and Md. Izzar Ahmed from Jawaharlal Navodhya Vidhyalaya, Panchawati participated. Moreover, Shri A.K. Trivedi, Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman also participated in the Kavi Sammelan.
Earlier Eassy writing competition, Letter writing competition and Slogan writing competition was organized. The prizes for the first, second, third and fourth for the competitions were distributed by the chief guest on the occasion. Vote of thanks proposed by Shri Senthiel Kumar, Secretary, Bhagat Singh Memorial youth club in the end of the programme.
On the other hand Swadesh Seva Youth Club also organized football tournament at the playground of C.F. O Nallah on the occasion of Hindi fortnight. The final match was played between Theoratang and Laukinallah in which Laukinallah won the match 1-0 goal.
