Port Bair, Sept 05: The Students of the Govt. Model Senior Secondary Port Blair, got inspired, watching the live telecast of the Prime Minster Shri Narendra Modi’s interaction with the School students. PM‘s replies to the questions raised by the students was very inspiring and students watching from this very remote school of the country, were listening to his words attentively.
When asked , Hema Maurya a student of class XII, told that it was a rare opportunity for the students to listen the philosophy of life from a leader who has become so popular in the world. “The way he explained about the topics related to different aspects of life, was amazing and the entire session of the telecast was a learning experience for all of us”, she said. Murali a student of class XI told that Shri Narendra Modi is really a visionary and it’s really exciting to listen to him, talking about his childhood experiences in the school. “The emphasis he gives to cleanliness, should be followed by every Indian”, Murali said.
The School management had made elaborate arrangements to watch the live telecast. The Principal of the School Dr. Dheeraj Kumar informed that though it was a challenging task, making arrangement for 2800 students, but with the cooperation of the staff and resources it had been made possible. The Girls were accommodated in the auditorium and Conference room, where the telecast was shown on big screens. The boys watched the programme in the open space. Apart from TV, the program was shown through Web casting in the class rooms. There was arrangement to transmit the radio broadcast also, by amplifying the reception.
Earlier the Principal Shri Dheeraj Kumar garlanded the statue of Dr. S. Radha Krishnan and extended his wishes to the teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
Appreciating the students for presenting impressive cultural programme, he said that the students could excel in studies as well if they concentrate and devote their time on it. He called upon the students to imbibe the values, taught by the teachers,
to succeed in life.
