Port Blair, Sept 05: A patient named Gobindo Seal, who had financial problems, undergone successful Angioplasty with triple drug coated stents, here at Chakraborty Multi Specialty Hospital. The operation was performed by cardiologist Dr. Uttam Saha, DM, FACC and was ably assisted by Dr. Sudip Chakraborty MD (Medicine).
It wouldn’t have been possible without the help of Lt. Governor who contributed Rs. 1 lakh from LG Relief Fund to the patient along with the perseverance of the M.P. Shri. B.P. Ray. The whole staff & students of DBRAIT too helped by contributing money for the operation. Chakraborty Multi Specialty Hospital on its part discounted much of its fees to bring down the total expenditure of the patient as low as possible.
This is another example of our togetherness especially in times of need and the growing medical infrastructure of these Islands, which made a complex heart surgery done easily in these Islands.
