Billyground, Sept 03: A reporter of a Bengali Fortnightly ‘Samudra Mekhla’, Mr. Tushar Bepari, was arrested by Police at Billyground yesterday evening under section 509 IPC, which is insulting the modesty of woman with words, gesture or act. However, he was later released on bail from PS Billyground as it is a bailable offence. Earlier a local English Daily had published a detailed report regarding the said Journalist and about an incident when he reportedly harassed female members of a destitute family in the region. The newspaper was later served legal notice by the Mr. Bepari’s advocate.
