Port Blair, Mar 02: The Department of Labour will be observing 43rd National Safety Week from March 4, 2014. During the period various programmes will be arranged to promote industrial safety among the workers. On Mar 4, 2014 (National Safety Day) a programme will be organized in the premises of Industrial Training Institute, Dollugunj wherein the Secretary (Labour) shall be the chief guest. A display of safety equipments will be held in the Conference Hall of Labour Commissioner’s Office, Supply Line, Port Blair on Mar 5 & 6. Various competitions for Industrial Workers will also be held; willing Industrial workers are requested to register their names at Labour Commissioner’s Office before Mar 4, 2014. A mock drill at Indian Oil Corporation Terminal, Haddo will be held on Mar 7, 2014, a communication said.
