Havelock, Mar 02: The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Ltd. has organised a function for the distribution of Cooperative Cards for Door Delivery of Pensions to Old Age, Widow & Disabled Persons on 28th February, 2014 at Gobindanagar, Havelock at 10.30 am.
Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Vice Chairman of the Bank was the Chief Guest of the occasion. The programme was also attended by Shri. Ranjan Sammadar, Pradhan, Gobindanagar, Shri. Manik Sikder, Pradhan, Shyamnagar, Smt. Abala Samaddar, Zilla Parishad Member, Smt. Uma Maheswari, Samiti Member, Officials of the Bank, SHGs and a large gathering of the area.
Shri. K Murugan, Chief General Manager of the Bank welcomed the Chief Guest and other delegates present on the occasion. Shri Ravinder Rao, Managing Director of the Bank in his address informed the gatherings regarding the benefits of the Cooperative Cards meant for door delivery of pensions. He briefly explained the Operational procedures of the cards through the means of electronic machine meant for door delivery of pensions.
Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Vice Chairman of the bank in his key note address presented a brief portfolio of the different schemes of the Bank. He further urged all the youths and general public of the area to come forward and avail financial assistance with the Bank. The
Chief Guest distributed Cooperative Cards to Disabled, Widow and Old age pensioners.
The Chief Guest also distributed loans to more than 10 Self Help Groups amounting Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 2,00,000 for different activities like laundry, nursery, small activities, etc.
A Cricket tournament was also organised at Havelock School Ground on the occasion in which Wild Gecko Boys team won and the runner up was Radhanagar team. The Chief Guest distributed cash awards to the teams.
