PORT BLAIR, 13th December, 2013: The A & N State Co-operative Bank organised an Awareness Campaign for SHG members of Buniyadabad and Round Basti in association with NABARD, Port Blair to popularize the benefits of banking services and awareness on Book Keeping Practices. The programme was inaugurated by Shri. R K Thanvi, DGM, NABARD on 13th December, 2013 at the Conference Hall, NABARD, Port Blair in the presence of Shri. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director, A & N SCB. The other dignitaries included officials and staffs of NABARD and a large gathering of women community especially SHG members.
In the beginning, Smt. Elizabeth Mary welcomed the gathering and extended warm regards. Shri. R K Thanvi, DGM, NABARD in his key note address urged all the women groups and people present on the occasion to understand the importance of Book Keeping. He also urged the groups to avail the benefits of all the schemes of the bank.
Shri. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director, A & N State Coop. Bank in his address invited the attention of all women community members to the various facilities offered by the bank and urged them to join hands with the bank by opening of Savings Bank accounts/No frill accounts,
etc. Shri. Raghubir Singh, AGM, ANSCB and Smt. Elizabeth Mary, Women Development Officer, ANSCB conducted classes on various deposit and lending schemes of the Bank. The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Smt. Elizabeth Mary, WDO, ANSCB.
