Port Blair, Dec 11: A yatching camp has been scheduled with J 24 sailboats sailing from Port Blair to Diglipur and back between 11 to 20 Dec 13. The crew have set sail from Port Blair to Neil Island and would depart for Havelock, Mayabunder and Diglipur on subsequent days.
The aim of the camp is to familiarize service personnel with the waters around these Islands. Such camps also aim to inculcate a respect for mother nature and the seas whilst developing a spirit of adventure and camaraderie among service personnel of Andaman & Nicobar Command. This camp is a prelude to the Indian Navy conducting an Inter Command J24 Sailing Championship.
