Port Blair, Dec 11: The A & N State Co-operative Bank organised a meeting for the representatives of Fisheries Cooperative Society on 11th December, 2013 at 11 am at the Chamber of Managing Director of the Bank to channelize the benefits of NCDC to Fisherman Community. The meeting was attended by Shri. Ashok Pillai, Executive Director, NCDC (National Cooperative Development Corporation), Regional Office, Kolkata, Officials of NCDC and representatives of different societies of Fisherman community.
The main objective of the meeting was to appraise the various schemes of NCDC to the Fisherman community. A detailed discussion was held wherein Shri. Ashok Pillai has briefed about the schemes to the representatives of Fisherman community. He further informed that a detailed meeting will be held in due course of time to further strengthen the presence of NCDC in A & N Islands.
Shri. Ravinder Rao, MD also spoke on the occasion and urged the members to take part in understanding the various products of NCDC and strive for excellence in the field of Fishing with the help of credit flow from NCDC.
