Port Blair, Oct 31: Police have arrested five persons in a gambling raid and seized cash Rs.73,200/-. Acting on information, a team of Aberdeen Police Station raided a place near Tehildar Office, Port Blair on 27th October and arrested five persons namely B. Gopi (50) yrs. r/o Police Line, A. Maiyappan (45) yrs. r/o Deen Street, Abdul Shakeel (48) yrs. R/o Dollygunj, Madhukrishna (60) yrs. r/o South Point and J. Tamila Rajan (45) yrs. r/o Atlanta Point alongwith 52 nos. paying cards and cash Rs. 73200/-. B. Gopi, A. Maiyappan and J.Tamila Rajan, being Police personnel, have been immediately placed under suspension.
