Port Blair, Sept 10: The Annual Inter-school Quiz Competition was organized by Rotary Club of Port Blair held at Hotel TSG Emerald View today. Altogether, 15 schools including Govt. and Private, participated in the competition, out of which 6 schools were selected for the final round. The team from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya bagged the first position and was awarded with the Rolling Trophy, besides cash prize and medals while Carmel Sr. Sec. School and Navy Children School secured second and third places respectively. Mr. DN Singh, Secretary-cum-Director of Education gave away certificates, cash prizes and rolling trophy to the winners. Rtn. Abhijit Agarwal conducted the quiz contest, while President Rtn. Kaushik Banerjee and Secretary Rtn. Pankaj Runjta alongwith members of Rotary Club of Port Blair made necessary arrangements for the successful conduct of the event, a communication said.
