Port Blair, Sept 10: A joint inspection by Secretary, Municipal Council alongwith officials of Sanitary Wing, PBMC in Ward Nos. 8, 9 & 10 was made on Sept 7, 2013.
During the inspection door to door collection of garbage in these wards has been noticed and intensive interaction with the residents was made by Secretary after completion of ward visit. The Secretary also visited Gandhi Park where composting of garbage take place.
The general public are hereby requested to co-operate with the sanitary with the sanitation staff of PBMC, during their visit for garbage collection in order to maintain neatness and hygienic condition of city.
The Secretary sought the cooperation of the general public in the door to door garbage collection and segregation at source to maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness, a communication from Secretary Municipal Council said here.
