Port Blair, Sept 04: The CBSE has made CC Pattern of teaching mandatory in all CBSE affiliated schools but it has been observed that in many private schools the teachers are either have little or absolutely no knowledge about CC Pattern of teaching, but still they are allowed to teach students.
The matter came out when teachers of Billygrounds’ Zilla Parishad Kendra Vidyalaya complained during a recently PTA meeting that they were not given any kind of training of CC Pattern by the school and hence they find it difficult to teach students of the region.
The problem is that many private schools do not feel it necessary to send their teachers for training of CC Pattern imparted by the Education Department. In many cases these schools do not even has knowledge about such training programme.
“Since last three years CC Pattern has been implemented in A & N Islands and most of the teachers of Government Schools have already been training on the pattern. We keep 5 -7 seats for teachers of private schools in every such training programme,” Dr. R Devdas the Director of SIE told Andaman Sheekha today.
It seems that there is a lot of communication gap between the Department of Education and the private schools regarding training of CC Patern and also there is lack of interest among the private schools to leave teachers for the crucial training. Ultimately students of many private schools, especially those, which are located in remote areas, feel themselves neglected.
