Port Blair, Sept 01: The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association appreciates the decision of the Lt. Governor to restructure the Forest Clerical Cadre with immediate effect. An order restructuring the Forest Clerical Cadre has been issued by the Department of Environment & Forests, A & N Administration on 23rd August, 2013.
With this, a long pending demand of this Association has been solved which will give some kind of relief to the employees belonging to the Forest Clerical Cadre who are already stagnating for a long period. The Association has been pursuing this demand with the authorities in the Forest Department and A & N Administration for the last several years and had even resorted to agitation on this demand.
The Restructuring of Forest Clerical Cadre was one of the demands on which the Association had conducted agitation during the recent years. The Association calls upon the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to undertake similar restructuring of Amalgamated Stenographic Cadre and Amalgamated Statistical Cadre of the Administration so that the employees belonging to those cadres will also get some kind of relief from the stagnation.
