Mayabunder, Sept. 17: The Executive Engineer, NACD, APWD, Mayabunder has requested for road closure of CFO Nallah Steel Bailey Bridge for removal of decking plate for providing and fixing of bailey bridge components and painting of bridge under deck.
Consequent to this, Shri S. Krishna Chaitanya, Additional District Magistrate, North & Middle Andaman in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 163 of BNSS, 2023, has ordered road closure of CFO Nallah Steel Bailey Bridge for the period of 10 days from 20.09.2026 to 29.09.2026 for removal of decking plate for providing and fixing of bailey bridge components and painting of bridge under deck.
The Executive Engineer, NACD, APWD, Mayabunder has also been directed to ensure that the repair/maintenance work of Steel Bailey Bridge is to be completed within the stipulated period and communicate its re-opening promptly, an order to this effect issued by ADM (N&MA) said.
