
Panchawati, North & Middle Andaman, Sept 10: An official team led by Mr. Dipanshu Vohra DANICS, Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, along with Pramukh Smti Sita Majhi, Executive Engineer, APWD, Mr. R. Madhavan, Zilla Parishad Member, Nimbutala, and Venkateswar Rao, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Shivapuram, visited PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Panchawati, on 10 September 2026.
Acccording to a press communication received here from Mr. Venkateswar Rao, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Shivapuram during the visit, the team inspected the ongoing construction of the boys’ and girls’ hostel buildings and reviewed the progress of the work. The officials also interacted with the concerned engineering authorities to ascertain the expected timeline for completion of the hostel buildings.
The team further visited the existing boys’ and girls’ hostel facilities to assess the living conditions of the students and review the availability of essential basic amenities and facilities.
During the inspection, the Executive Engineer, APWD, Rangat, was directed to ensure that the ongoing hostel construction is completed at the earliest by coordinating with the contractor, so that students can be provided with safe and adequate accommodation equipped with necessary facilities.
The team also held a detailed discussion with the Vice-Principal of the school regarding various issues and requirements concerning the institution and its students.
The visit focused on improving hostel infrastructure, ensuring better facilities for students and addressing the requirements of PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Panchawati on priority.
