Port Blair, June 28: A delegation of State Part Time Teachers Education Employees Association (SPTEEA) led by the PCC President, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma today called on the Lt Governor, Lt Gen (Retd) Bhopinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM at Raj Niwas and requested for their reappointing in the Education Department. These part-time teachers, part-time Ayahs, Malis, Sweepers, Chowkidars etc. had been working in the Education department for the last several years. They requested the Lt Governor that after the termination of their services they were faced with financial hardship and were unable to even shoulder the responsibilities of their families. The Lt Governor assured them that the administration will extend all possible help to them.
