Port Blair, June 28: A delegation of Port Management Board (PMB) led by the PCC President, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma today called on the Lt Governor, Lt Gen (Retd) Bhopinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM at Raj Niwas and requested for maintaining the current status of Govt. employees working in PMB in the event of creation of a Maritime Board. They mentioned that once the PMB is transformed into Maritime Board, it will become an Autonomous Body and they would be deprived of the benefits of Govt. employees. The Lt Governor assured them that their service conditions will be protected.
