
Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 21: Mr. Manojit Halder, Pradhan of Gram Panchayat Harinagar, today met Mrs. Pallavi Sarkar, IAS, Secretary (APWD), Andaman and Nicobar Administration, to discuss several critical developmental issues concerning the Harinagar area.
During the high-level meeting, the Pradhan raised two urgent community demands requiring immediate administrative intervention: Land Allotment for New Post Office : Mr. Manojit Halder highlighted the urgent requirement to allocate a suitable plot of land for the Postal Department at Ward No. Harinagar-2, near the Police Booth.
Mrs. Pallavi Sarkar gave the matter an attentive hearing and reportedly assured the Pradhan that she would grant the official approval for the land allotment at the earliest. Following her approval, the Revenue Department will immediately hand over the land. Expediting Rural Road Construction:
The Pradhan raised the issue of the pending construction of the rural road connecting the residence of Joshna Das to the house of CM Adhikary at Harinagar-5. Proposed under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY), Mr. Halder prioritized the critical need of the local community and requested the APWD to expedite the tendering process for early execution.
The Secretary (APWD) reportedly assured the Pradhan that she would personally look into the SAGY road project and take swift steps to accelerate its implementation.
