Sri Vijaya Puram, June 24: The monsoon is one of nature’s most beautiful gifts to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. As the rains drape the Islands in lush greenery, replenish its forests and wetlands, and add a refreshing charm to its beaches and landscapes, the season transforms the archipelago into a spectacle of natural beauty. To celebrate this unique season and promote the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a vibrant year-round tourism destination, the Department of Tourism, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, in collaboration with allied Departments, Self Help Groups, State Cultural Associations and other stakeholders, is organizing Monsoon Carnival – 2026 from 26th to 28th June, 2026.
The carnival, one of the annual flagship events featured in the Tourism Calendar of Fairs & Festivals, seeks to showcase the rich cultural heritage, local cuisine, sports, creativity and community spirit of the Islands while encouraging residents and visitors to experience the magic of the monsoon season.
