Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 01: The Electricity Department, in coordination with the District Administration, South Andaman, hereby informs the general public that a beneficiary identification drive is being undertaken as part of the implementation of the 30 MW Solar Rooftop Project in RESCO Mode under the Utility led Aggregation (ULA) Model of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG-MBY).
This ambitious project is aimed at promoting clean energy and providing relief to the weaker sections of society through the installation of solar rooftop systems.
Under the chairmanship of the Additional District Magistrate (ADM), South Andaman, the identification drive will focus on selecting eligible beneficiaries already covered under the following government welfare schemes:
- Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – under the Department of Rural Development
- Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) – under the Department of Civil Supplies
- Ayushman Bharat Yojana – under the Directorate of Health Services
To facilitate this process, Special Beneficiary Gathering Camps will be held as per the schedule below:

During these camps, officials will collect basic information such as name, address, and contact details from potential beneficiaries.
All Pradhans, Revenue Inspectors (RIs), and Patwaris are kindly requested to inform and mobilize eligible beneficiaries from their respective areas. Representatives from the concerned departments will be present at each camp to verify beneficiary details on the spot. All eligible residents falling under the above schemes are requested to attend these camps and cooperate with the officials to ensure their inclusion in the beneficiary list.
