Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 21: A Mini RCH Camp alongwith Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA) was conducted at Community Hall Dhanikari under PHC Manglutan by Union Territory Health Mission, A&N Islands in association with Directorate of Health Services & ANIIMS. Inaugurating the program as the chief guest, Shri Palani Kumar, Pradhan, GP Manglutan emphasised on early detection, early treatment of diseases and appealed the general public to avail the services of screening of disease and get treatment. The programme was also attended by Smti Laxmi Singh, UP Pradhan GP Manglutan alongwith other dignitaries.
Dr. H M Siddaraju, Deputy Director (FW)/ Joint Secretary (RCH-II) briefly introduced the program and informed the main objective of SNSPA. Dr. Shiny Verghese, Nodal Officer (NP-NCD) spoke about the importance of NCD Clinics and requested the general public to participate and avail the facilities.
During the camp, Dr. Suman Lakra Gyneacologist, from Arun Hospital Dollygunj, Dr. Sandeep Reddy Katkuri Paediatrician, Dr. Srilekha ENT Specialist, Dr. Sanjiv Chand Joint Secretary (NOHP) and Dr. Pawan Kumar, Jr. Resident (Opthalmology) and Dr. Annie Das, Medical Officer In-charge PHC Manglutan provided their Services for the needy patients.
A Mini exhibition displaying healthy recipes and food basket by Anganwadi Workers/ICDS was also organized for the awareness of the general public. More than 80 patients were benefitted with this camp.
