Port Blair, Apr 22; A Gymnasium was inaugurated in the Community Hall at Dairy Farm by Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman, ANCOFED Ltd., on 19/4/2013 at 5.00 p.m. in the presence of Mr. P.B. Murugan, Chairperson, and Mrs. P. Bharati, Chairperson sub Committee for Education & Social Justice, PBMC & Ward Councillor in a simple but well gathered function.
Mr. M. Arumugam, S.V.C., Mr. I.P. Singh, J.V.C. Mr. S. Shanmugavel, Mrs. Jameela Bibi, Mr. J. Rajendran, Mr. Hema Rao, Mr. S. Muthuraman, Mr. G. Chandren, Councillors and officers of the Council were also present in the function. Mr. J. Rajendran welcomed the distinguished guests, officers of the Council and the gathering. Mr. P B. Murugan in his speech requested the youths of the area to utilize the facility provided by the Council.
Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chairman, ANCOFED Ltd., in his speech appreciated the Council for taking up welfare /recreation activities in addition to the routine work such as Construction of Footpath, roads, sanitation, water supply etc.etc. He stressed the need for providing more public water tap connections and construction of public toilets in ward No. 8 & 9. Mr. S. Muthuraman, Councillor, PBMC proposed vote of thanks.
