The event was thoughtfully designed for women attending in pairs—either as sisters or best friends—to reinforce the power of connection, healing, and shared growth.
The workshop opened with an enlightening talk by Mrs. Hemlatha, counseling psychologist, who addressed postnatal depression and anxiety. The second speaker, Mrs. Bushra Parveen Chaudhary, CTET-qualified educator, certified Swar Yoga practitioner, and counselor, shared her deeply personal journey of emotional healing. Her inspiring story not only demonstrated resilience but also sparked hope among women facing similar struggles. She also introduced her initiative, Healing Nisa, which offers counseling and emotional support to women in distress from all walks of life.
Adding a physical dimension to the healing process, Dr. Yasmin Rizwi, a certified physiotherapist, led a practical demonstration of daily somatic exercises that women can easily incorporate into their kitchen routines. These movements were tailored to help release tension and address trauma stored in the body—making healing accessible in everyday life.
The final speaker, Dr. K.M. Asif, a dentist by profession and public speaker by passion, emphasized the importance of seeking help and sharing stories to combat depression. His impactful session raised awareness about postnatal depression and encouraged open conversations around mental health through storytelling.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the presentation of mementos to all esteemed speakers. Special guests to attend the program were- Mts Saira Shahul Hamid, wife of Shahul Hamid, Chairperson, PBMC, and Mrs Anuradha Lal, President, Gandhi Global Family.
