Sri Vijaya Puram, July 31: The Hindu Seva Sangh, a prominent socio-cultural organization in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, has submitted an official appeal to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF), Department of Environment and Forests, seeking an extension of the application deadline for the recently announced Forest Ranger recruitment.
The request pertains to Vacancy Notice PCCF/(ANI) RC / FR /Vol V /24, dated 25th July 2025, which opened the online application window from 28th July to 20th August 2025 for 28 Forest Ranger posts.
In the representation, Mr. Abhay Kumar, President of Hindu Seva Sangh, stated that many aspiring candidates are unable to apply because they are awaiting the announcement of their final graduation results, expected by the end of August 2025. Since graduation is a mandatory eligibility criterion, these candidates risk being excluded from this rare opportunity.
Mr. Abhay Kumar emphasized:
“Forest Ranger vacancies have been announced after several years. For many youth in the islands, this is a vital opportunity to serve in the noble cause of environmental protection. Denying them a chance due to timing would be deeply unfortunate.”
The Hindu Seva Sangh has urged the PCCF to extend the application deadline to 10th September 2025, allowing eligible youth to participate without compromising merit or fairness.
The organization hopes the Department of Environment and Forests will favorably consider this appeal in the broader interest of equal opportunity, transparency, and youth empowerment.
