Port Blair, Mar 03: Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman laid foundation stones by unveiling the plaques as Chief Guest for the three developmental works under Govind Nagar Gram Panchayat, Cambellbay on 02- 03-2024 viz.
i) ‘Construction of hall in the parking area of 06 KM permanent shelter at ward No. 06’
ii) Repair of road side retaining wall including road from Mr. Srinu’s house to Mr. Aziz’s house at W.No. 07′ &
iii) ‘Widening of CC Road by providing RCC slab near Mr. Joseph’s house to Mr. Vijay Barla’s house at ward No. 02’ in the presence of Mr. Abhishek Gulia, Asst. Commissioner, Campbell bay, Mr. E.S Rajesh, Pramukh, PS, Campbell bay, Mr. Sanjay Ekka, Up-Pramukh, Mr. G. Venkat Rao, Pradhan, members of the PRIS and large gathering of local people.
The work at i) & ii) above will be executed by the Gram Panchayat, Govind Nagar while the one at iii) by the Zilla Parishad, South Andaman. The Zilla Parishad has taken up work at Campbell Bay after a very long time for which the General Public was overwhelmed. Creation of these assets will fulfill the long pending demand and aspirations of the local population and will largely benefit the residents of Govind Nagar Panchayat in the far flung isolated island of Campbell bay, Great Nicobar.
