Port Blair, Jan 05: Extension Education Institute (EEI), Hyderabad a premier regional training Institute financed by Directorate of Extension, Department of Agriculture & Co-operation, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India for southern region in association with Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), A & N Islands is organizing a four days off campus training programme from 06th – 09th February, 2013 on the topic “ATMA under Modified Extension Reforms” for the middle level officers of Agriculture & Allied Departments in the conference hall of Directorate of Agriculture, Haddo, Port Blair.
In the training programme topics like orientation on ATMA under Modified Extension Reforms, Market led and Group led Extension, Promotion of Public Private Partnership in Agriculture, Role of ICT in Agricultural Extension, Farmers Field School etc. will be covered.
Around 30 officials of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Industries and Rural Development Departments alongwith some officer and officials of ATMA are expected to participate in the training programme.
Dr. M Surya Mani, Professor, Extension Education Institute (EEI), Hyderabad and Dr. K S Purnima, Assistant Professor, EEI, Hyderabad will be the resource persons for the training programme.
