Port Blair, Jan 05: The Haj Committee of India, Mumbai has been announced Haj 1434 (H) – 2013. The bonafide residents of A & N Islands desirous of performing HAJ during the year 2013 are requested to submit the Haj application form complete in all respect to the State Haj Committee latest by 20th March 2013.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has intimated that Haj Visa will be
endorsed on International Passport only. Hence every pilgrim who wishes to apply for HAJ – 2013 must be in possession of International Passport which should be valid up to 31.03.2014.
The pilgrims are request to submit the Haj Application Form along with self attested copy of valid International Passport and valid proof of residence to the State Haj Committee latest by 20th March 2013.
It may be noted that the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has decided to restrict the number of pilgrimages to a Haj applicant through Haj Committee of India to “Once in a life time” as against the existing “Once in five years” as a major change introduce for Haj – 2013.
The prescribed application from and other details can be collected from the Office of the Chairman, State Haj Committee, functioning in the second floor of the Directorate of Social Welfare building at Goalghar during office hours from 6th Feb., 2013 on all working days between 9.30 AM to 1.00 PM.
