Port Blair, Feb 04: An earthquake, measuring 4.8 on Richter scale, jolted India’s Andaman Islands on this morning. The quake was registered at 06:49 Hours IST (Indian Standard Time).
The quake was epic entered in an area located at Lat. 11.7°N and Long. 92.7°E at the dept of 10 KM. Though the intensity was low the quake was felt very prominently by Islanders. No loss of life or property was reported as a result of the quake in the region.
