Port Blair, Feb 04: The Congress Party today requested the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to release financial assistant for the treatment of four years old, Master Bibek Talukdar, who is suffering from Cyanotic Heart Disease.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, Mr. Sharma said that Cardiac ailment of Bibek Takuldar, son of a private carpenter, Biplab Talukdar has now started taking the toll on the health, who is unable to utter even a single word from his mouth.
“His legs are so week that he can’t even stand straight on his legs. According to doctors the child needs two urgent operations, which will bless the child with a normal life but poor parents of the child is finding it difficult to arrange money for the treatment of the child.
Specialists from Amrita Hospital had recently given an estimate of Rs. 3.5 lakhs for the complete treatment (which include two major operations) of the child, an amount, which looks impossible for the parents,” Mr. Sharma said in his press release.
Mentioning the cases of Baby Winglsley, another patient with a hole in his heart, Master Shohaib, an electrocuted boy, Master Bophias Ekka who has lost his hands and many more, who are now leading normal lives on receiving the financial help from LG’s Relief Fund, Kuldeep has requested the Administrator to arrange proper treatment of this poor boy through Lt Governor’s Relief Fund.
