Port Blair, Feb 03: The INTUC President Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma along with delegation of Employees of Supply department met the Director (CS&CA) Mr. Som Naidu and advocated for the regularization of services of 70 odd TSM and requested for approaching the Govt of India for creation of 70 odd posts of regular mazdoors in more assertive and justified manner so that the services of 70 odd TSM gets regularized and they gain financial and social security after serving the department for over 20 to 25 years.
Sharma has also advocated to release arrears to the TSM posted in outstation which has accrued on account of conferring them pay band I from 1st January, 2006. Sharma has also advocated for releasing payment of Night Duty allowance along with arrears to all such workers who are deployed in the night shift performed between 2200 hrs to 0600 hrs. He also requested to get the ceiling of the rest room of the workers, provided in the directorate which is leaking prior to onset of monsoon.
