Port Blair, Aug 25: The ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker met Mr. Vikram Singh, DANICS, Director of Agriculture today at his office and discussed with him several matters pertaining to the agriculture sector in A&N Islands.
The meeting had a warm and fruitful discussion. Mr. Rangalal Halder and Mr. TSG Bhasker stressed on the need for guaranteed minimum support price, better coordination amongst stakeholders, procurement of Copra, Pesticides, Fertilizers, Seeds, Tractors and several other matters.
Mr. Vikram Singh assured to take necessary steps in this regard and also highlighted several initiatives which are going to be undertaken by the department for improving the agriculture sector in A&N Islands
