Port Blair, Aug 25: ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder has highlighted his concerns regarding the current state of the Vessel services MV Campbell Bay provided by The Shipping Department for the route between Port Blair to Little Andaman.
He stated that the journey of the MV Campbell Bay duration is quite lengthy for up to 11 Hours as it often takes approximately 6-7 Hours to reach its destination. Many of the passengers faced difficulties by relying on this route.
He mentioned that a significant number of fans on Vessel MV Campbell Bay are not functioning properly, leading to an uncomfortable and suffocating environment for passengers during their journey.
He added that due to non functioning Air Conditioners in the vessel, many of the passengers feel uncomfortable with unpleasant conditions, especially during longer journeys.
Additionally, Mr. Halder said that the unhygienic conditions of the toilets and bathrooms on MV Campbell Bay are also not acceptable as Clean and sanitary facilities are required for maintaining the health and dignity of passengers.
Furthermore, He has requested for immediate action to address these issues and improve the overall quality of the MV Campbell Bay Vessel.
