Port Blair, Aug 25: Yeshuva institute of Health Science has conducted competitions to mark Eye Donation Day on 25th August 2023, 9a.m. to 1 p.m. at institute in which nearly 80 students have participated from different places. These competitions were designed for young adults aged 18-25 years; aim to celebrate talent while also raising awareness about the importance of Eye Donation.
To raise enthusiasm and awareness among the participants they had invited doctors from various hospitals/ clinics like Dr. V.S. Maneesh (Syamala Clinic, Goalghar), Dr. Anand Unde (Swasthya Medical Centre, Bathubasti), Dr. Rohinder Lal (Rohin’s Eye Hospital, Delanipur) and Medical Practitioner from (Pillar Health Centre, Lamba Line).
The first and second position were secured by Sneha and S. B. Sidharth Kumar in Speech competition, Aniketh and Sneha in Quiz competition, P. Sweta and Sudip Maity in drawing competition, Prabha Dung Dung and Sneha in Best out of Waste respectively.
