Port Blair, August 25: A highly venomous King Cobra was captured from a house in Panchwati Village, Middle Andaman, on the morning of August 25, 2023 by the Wildlife Division team of Forest Department.
Measuring 6 feet in length, the rescued snake was safely captured by Mr. Manjeet Singh, known as the “Snake Man of Andamans,” working as Deputy Ranger of the Wildlife unit of the Forest Department. Mr. Ramesh Forester and Mr. Mustafa Forest Guard assited Mr. Manjeet Singh.
Following established protocols and guidance from superiors, the King Cobra will be released back into its natural habitat. This approach ensures the snake’s safety while also minimizing potential risks to human habitations.
