Port Blair, Aug 16: In a move to strengthen the organizational network in Wimberligunj, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee inaugurated its Block Congress Office at Wimberlygunj.
The office was formally inaugurated by the ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker by cutting the ribbon. Mr. Rangalal Halder and Mr. TSG Bhasker also unfurled the Party Flag in front of the office.
Congress leader and Zilla Parishad Member, Mannarghat Mr. PST Ummer was kind enough in providing the office for Block Congress so that the public grievances of the Wimberlygunj Panchayat can be redressed efficiently.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rangalal Halder said that the party workers are the backbone of the Congress Party and he expressed hope that the new office would further strengthen the party organization in Wimberlygunj area.
Mr. TSG Bhasker congratulated all party workers for the new office and expressed hope that now the party’s workers would be able to work with more zeal and serve the party and the Islands at their utmost level.
Block Congress President, Wimberligunj Mr. Venkat, Block Congress Vice-President, Wimberligunj Mr. Khais, TCC Member, Wimberligunj Mr. A.P Jabir, Mandal Committee President Wimberligunj Mr. P. Abdul Basheer, Ex-General Secretary Youth Congress Mr. Sadaqat and several other PRI members of nearby villages and party leaders were present on the occasion.
