Port Blair, Feb 09: Community participation sessions were conducted by civilian employees, aswell as their family members, to clean and preserve the flora and fauna inand around NYK Premises Garacharma on 08/02/2023
On the occasion Mr. Sanjay Kumar, State President, Human Right Association& President Andaman Nicobar Blood Donor Association was Chief Guest. DrMilan Halder & Dr Sunitha Patil, Lecturer, JNRM were Special Guests. Theprogrammed organized by Mr. Gopal ChanderBiswas, Program Assistant NehruYuva Kendra, Port Blair.
Mr. Sanjay inaugurated the plantation drive and said the NYK was committedto making the Swachh Bharat Mission, a pet project of Prime Minister, Mr.Narendra Modi, a success. Total, 45 saplings were planted.
Motivational speech was given by Mr. Sanjay Kumar and Special Guest to theyouths for Promoting Spirit of Volunteerism and to inculcate a sense ofdignity of labor among youths.
The public pledged to maintain cleanliness and plant saplings whereverpossible. Sweets were also distributed in the end.
