Port Blair, Dec 13: Acting on a specific intelligence input received from reliable source, Police team from Central Crime Station consisting of Inspector S. Kannan, SI M.A Rasheed, Constables K. Rajendran & Raja Rao arrested one person namely Swapan Biswas S/o Late Rashik Biswas, resident of R.K Pur, Little Andaman on 10/12/2022. 1.020 Kgs of Meth Amphetamine was recovered and seized after observing all codal formalities from the accused which was clandestinely concealed behind house.
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act-1985 has been registered at PS CCS and investigation is on.
The general public especially from Little Andaman who are in possession of MethAmphetamine received from seashores are once again requested to surrender the contraband to local police and pass on information regarding storage of contrabands or any other illegal activity on the following telephone numbers- 100, 232586, 233307, 9474290250. The identity of the informer will be kept secret.
