Port Blair, Dec 13: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, MP, Mr. B. P. Ray, Ex MP and Mr. Abhay Kumar, National President, Indian Pharmacist Association, has written to the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to conduct the much awaited written exam for the recruitment for the post of Pharmacist Grade III, under DHS , which was scheduled to be held on 18th of December 22, . This exam has been postponed stating administrative reasons.
In their respective letters it is stated that, after the gap of 9 years the recruitment notice was floated by the DHS, in 2018, for filling up the 25 posts of Pharmacist which was later revised to 28 posts in 2019. In the same year the eligible list of candidates were also published by the administration and candidates were waiting for the exam to be held on 18/12/22 as published in the newspaper. Many candidates had traveled from different destinations to attend this exam at Port Blair. Moreover many candidates are on the verge of age debar as it could be the last chance for them as this vacancy was called after almost 9yrs.
Keeping all the above into consideration, it was worth fully requested by the administration to declare and conduct the exam at an earliest.
It was also conveyed to the administration that many vacancies are anticipated after 2019 under DHS and around 40 vacancies of Pharmacist under ANIIMS may also be filled calling for fresh recruitment notice.
