Port Blair, Nov 14: Proud moments for Islanders as R Kashthuri Bhai, a class VIII student of GDMS Middle point, Port Blair has brought laurels to the A & N Islands yet again by securing 7th position in the 8th ICA Open Below 1700 Rating Chess Tournament held in Bangalore, Karnataka from 11.11.2022 to 13.11.2022.
She remained undefeated in the tournament & scored 7 points out of 9 Rounds with five wins and four draws. She was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 12000/-, trophy and a certificate.Around 430 players from different states across India participated in this prestigious event.
