Port Blair, Sep 18: The luxurious Sea Cruise, Coral Sea Cruise was inaugurated today by the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Mr. Keshav Chandra. With this the first ever ocean-going tourist cruise ship of these Islands has started a new chapter of Cruise Tourism in Andamans.
The Cruise Ship will now operate between Port Blair and Swaraj Dweep as “Night Cruise”. This will give the tourists an option of a night cruise to Swaraj Dweep with disco and bar. Everyone gets buffet dinner and to sleep on bed. That will leave the tourists refreshed for next day on beaches and for water sports in Swarjdeep.
Mr. Keshav Chandra, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration formally inducted the First Cruise Ship vessel Coral Queen into service today in the presence of Mr. Kishore Kshirsagar Lakshman, IAS, Secretary Shipping Services, Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Ankit Yadav, IAS, ADM(SA) and other senior officers of A&N Administration.
Mr. Ravi Bhatia, the (Director) of Castle Ship Pvt.Ltd.,and owner of Coral Queen Vessel was also present during the occasion.
With “Coral Queen” becoming the first ever ocean-going tourist cruise ship, tourists can now cruise in a never-before safety, style & space aboard the largest sized ship that can sail to exotic ports of the islands. With different accommodation categories, “Coral Queen” will serve a wide range of tourists. Open-to-sky decks, restaurants, dance and many more attractions for the tourists. Coral Queen will also be providing night journey services to tourists from Port Blair to Swaraj Dweep.
