Port Blair, Sep 11: In observance of RashtriyaPoshanMaah 2022, the ICDS Urban Project organized an awareness programme for adolescent girls on 11th September 2022 at AWC Sunder Colony, Haddo.
On this occasion, adolescent girls were sensitized about personal hygiene and nutrition. An action song was performed by pre-school children on the theme of fruits and vegetables.
The programme was beheaded by Anganwadi workers, personnel from the AIDS Control Society, Paramedical staff from Family Welfare, Chairwoman, Child helpline Prayas and Mrs. Marya Sheela, Director, JSS, NGO PRAYAS spoke on child abuse and the safety of girls at home and school.
Mrs. Marya also highlighted that girls have equal rights to live in the world. Saving a girl will make the future of the country more progressive.
