Port Blair, Sep 11: The Tourism Department conducted Beach Cleanliness Drive on 10th September 2022 at ElephantaBeach, Swaraj Dweep, a preferred tourist destination for water sports activities in Swaraj Dweep frequented by a good number of National and International tourists. The cleanliness drive was carried out as part of the ‘Clean Coast, Safe Sea’ campaign launched by Gol.
More than 60 people including TSET members, police personnel, boat association, and Tourism stakeholders from the water sports activities of Swaraj Dweep took part in the cleanliness drive.
Around, 15 bags of garbage containing plastic bottles, rappers, and glass bottles were collected during the drive from the beach and the same was transported through the Panchayat for safe/proper disposal. The drive was coordinated by Mr. Rustam Ali, In-Charge, Radhanagar Beach, Swaraj Dweep.
