Port Blair, Aug 23: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP, A&N Islands has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration and Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman, Mayabunder to expedite the issues raised by Pradhan, GP Paschimsagar.
In a letter, Mr. Bairagi mentioned the non-availability of mobile networks and Internet facilities in Paschimsagar village till date. He said that despite several requests to BSNL, this demand has not yet been fulfilled and villagers are forced to live without mobile communication.
He stated the poor condition of the road from Kishorinagar to Paschimsagar for the last six months. The bus service in the village is provided to the general public with immense risk of accidents and the concerned department is not taking any initiative to repair the road.
Mr. Bairagi also mentioned the non-completion of two roads i.e., Black Top Road from GSS Paschimsagar to Jadab Bairagi House at Paschimsagar (2 Km approx) and Black Top Road from Panchayat to Ganesh Dhali House at Paschimsagar (2 Km approx). The construction work of these roads was started three years ago but the work is not completed yet.
He mentioned that after the lockdown, unemployment in the village increased as most of the youths worked in the tourism sector outside the village.
Therefore, Mr. Ajoy Bairagi has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration and Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman, Mayabunder direct the concerned departments to resolve the problems of GP Paschimsagar as soon as possible.
