Port Blair, Apr 03: In a major achievement, the police team of PS Shaheed Dweep has arrested one youth from Jaipur under POCSO Act and has been brought to Port Blair.
Earlier, on the basis of the statement of a minor girl, a FIR was registered under POCSO act at PS Shaheed Dweep on 24/03/22.
The investigation of the case was taken up by SI Sudhir Kumar of PS Shaheed Dweep. The team constituted for search & arrest of the accused person.
Police team left to search for the accused person in Rajasthan on 28/03/22 and soon the team reached Jaipur.
After consistent effort & strict vigil on accused person, team with the help of cyber cell Andaman and Nicobar Islands, team traced the accused person and nabbed the accused person.
Investigation officer thoroughly interrogated the accused person, in which he accepted his guilt, further accused person has been arrested after observing codal formalities.
The Accused youth was later brought to Andaman and produced before court Port Blair, from where the accused person was sent on judicial custody.
