Port Blair, Apr 01: Mrs. Sampa Banerjee, the state President of BJP Mahila Morcha of A&N Islands recently visited the Health and Wellness Centre of Mile Tilak , where she was shocked to see that the said Health and Wellness Centre is being run in a dilapidated building.
According to Mr. Sampa Banerjee, patients, including children and pregnant women of the area shared the problems they faced when they visit the centre, because of the rundown condition of the building.
She added that the walls and ceiling look unsafe and people fear that it may collapse anytime. Most importantly the Health and Wellness Centre run by women staffs does not have a door in the Toilet.
“The residents of the Mile Tilak area solely depend on this centre during any emergency and this condition is dangerous for the patients and staffs. The administration should take suitable steps for the immediate renovation of the building,” Mr. Banerjee demanded.
